Maximum Ride Chap. 4

Heres Chapter 4, hope you like it, anywayfor the sake of... me, I'm not doing the whole Maximum Ride's not mine thing...

“Oh.Mi.God! Dexi! Did you see your neck?” I exploded

“No, I guess I haven’t looked at the back of my neck in a while.” He said sarcastically picking himself off the floor.

“Y-Y-Y-Y-You g-g-got an EXPIRATION DATE!!” I managed out

“Whats an expiration date?” He asked

“How do you not know what an expiration date is?” I said throwing my hands in the air

“Is it bad” He asked in a 4 year old voice

“Well, see, ummmmmmm, Dexi, an expiration date is a list of numbers on an Erasers neck, and those numbers make a date and that date is the day that the Erasers die” I told him coolly

“WHAT?!?!?!!?! I’m going to die!!!! Quick Max, what do the numbers say?” He freaked out

“Ummmmmmm, 08, the middle is smudged I can’t read the day” I stammered

“But today’s the seventh!” He started crying.

“Dex, calm down,” I pleaded “You have time, let’s not waste it crying”

“Okay” He said with a final sob

I took Dex to Angel’s room where the others were talking. Fang stared at me like he was saying ‘Oh, great Max, another one’. ‘Shut up’ I mouthed at him

“Hey guys this is Dexi” I started calmly “He’s an Eraser I’ve known since, like forever. And, see he got a … expiration date.” I forced out those two awful words. “And I want him to break out with us.”
